Resort collections are my favourite time of the year. Everything is wearable, realistic and make me want to be in St Tropez with a gin and tonic in hand.
Here are my picks; Alexander Wang, Alice and Olivia, Burberry Prosum, Chloe, Colette Dinnigan, Dior, J Mendel, Jonathan Saunders, Calvin Klein, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Rachel Zoe, Rag and Bone, See by Chloe. And last but not least, the lady I would happily have dress me for the rest of my life - Stella McCartney.

Some would say that predictability is boring. I would disagree with this in order to say that a predictable person is my favourite kind of person.
Predictability allows you to understand where you stand, as a result, you learn how to behave accordingly. Without this stability you are left wondering on a daily basis whether you will be greeted by a fire breathing dragon when you walk in the door, or by Nurturing Nancy with a tray of fresh muffins.
Don’t mistake this desire for predictability for a dislike of spontaneity. I will save this for another day. However, let’s just say that gone are the days when I organised what carriage of the 7:24am train I would meet my friends on to go to school.

Even now, opening mail is as much of a thrill as it was when I was a small child. There is something about receiving a letter (when it is not a bill!) and knowing there is actual thought behind it. I’m putting it down to the anticipation of ripping it open to reveal who has taken the time to write to you, put it in an envelope and post it, especially considering the time it takes to press send on a text or email.
So when I opened a letter today, containing a thank you card, I was stunned and also impressed. Someone had not only written me a letter (pause for the appropriate gasp!), but was thanking me for something!
My mother has always instilled in me that the thank you letter is not a lost artform, but now as a recipient, I truly understand what it is like to be on the receiving end. Especially when the sender is an exceptionally busy person, with certainly better things than thanking a little old PR gal.
So thanks to you my mysterious pen pal, you have made my day!
And thanks to Mum, this has really driven the message home, thank you cards are not dead! I am sorry it has taken a beauty queen to really drive this home.
PS - I have also learnt that fashion blogging and the State of Origin can co-exist. There is something mildly calming about this man talking about tackles and scrums and the occasional hoot of a whistle.

Today I would like to give myself a pat on the back. Without a doubt I seized today, I grabbed it by the horns, and utilised every minute of every hour.
I am hoping that this increased level of activity will ward off any signs of Monday-itis that could creep upon me at this hour on a Sunday.
I will keep you posted, I know you will all be waiting with baited breathe to find out the results of this experiment. So watch this space.
Note - the only situation I would not recommend seizing a day, is the day after one has consumed their body weight in red wine. On said occasion, the weekend gods / I will forgive you.

Today I learnt that, funnily enough, despite the state of my bedroom floor, cleaning can be wilding rewarding. Not only is order calming, but you can also discover all kinds of hidden gems in the process. Gems, referring to both a physical item that you’d forgotten you had, and gems referring to a trait you’d forgotten you possessed.
In my case, this trait is perseverance. This must sound outrageously petty, but persevering and finishing the simplest, yet rather sizeable task of cleaning out the office storeroom, garnered some great results, of which left me satisfied for the rest of the day.
This got me thinking, what else could I achieve if only I set my mind to the task, stuck with it, and didn’t give in! The world could really be my oyster.
So my message you to (and also me!) is this, don’t give up, persevere, the rewards you reap will well outweigh the effort extended. Even if you do, like me today, just end up with more storage space for your shoes and highlighters.
PS - apologies in advance to those who come here simply to scroll through some of my favourite images of the day. As you will have just read, I am all about perseverance right now. Hence, I am persevering with my writing, and you are my guinea pigs. Feedback is welcomed.
